THE RITUAL is a six-minute proof of concept set inside the world of B. It follows B as he faces one of the trials in his ascent through a secret society — a test designed to push his body, instinct and identity beyond their limits.
THE STORY
The piece explores a decisive moment in B’s journey. Blindfolded and forced to confront a ritual trial, he must rely on instinct rather than sight. The physical challenge becomes a reflection of something more personal: the enemies in front of us are not always the ones we need to defeat first.
A PROOF OF CONCEPT FOR B
THE RITUAL is not intended to tell the entire story of B. It is a controlled window into its world: the secret society, its hierarchy, its rituals and the kind of physical and psychological tests that define the protagonist’s ascent.
A CINEMATIC & TECHNOLOGY TEST BED
The short will also function as a practical test bed for the feature film. Shot on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, the production will combine physical performance and traditional filmmaking with new post-production technologies. The aim is to test where emerging tools can genuinely reduce cost and iteration time while preserving a grounded, cinematic result — particularly across VFX, CGI, matte painting and color finishing.
The finished piece is intended to become both a creative statement and a tangible production case study: something that can be shown to producers and investors not only to communicate the tone and action language of B, but to demonstrate how the feature could be approached efficiently at a larger scale.
